Why Our Resolution is No More Resolutions

Posted by Sarah Thaler on

As the first month of the year is coming to an end, how is your new year resolution going? In early January, our social media feeds were flooded with resolution and ‘New Year, New Me’ declarations. The time old tradition of making new year resolutions got the Cubii team thinking: why do we make them? Resolution, coming  from the root word resolve, suggests there is something wrong with you which needs to be fixed. THIS IS NOT TRUE.

New Year, New Me is no more. You’re still the same amazing person. If you’re looking to make a change, set goals for the coming year to improve yourself, not solve something that might be wrong with you. Basically in 2018, Cubii is saying f@#$ new year resolutions!

Just like you, Cubii is also setting some goals for 2018. Since the start of our journey, our first priority has always been you, the customer. We are constantly encouraging feedback - positive or negative - to improve our desk elliptical, app and service experience. While encouraging this feedback will remain #1, we will take it a step further and strive to build a powerful community of deskercisers and get more involved in the Chicago health community.

To end 2017 and start 2018 off on the right foot, we collaborated with the Chicago Food Depository for our first annual Cubii Calorie 4 Calorie event. Throughout the event, for every calorie burned while Cubii-ing, we’d donate $1 to the Chicago Food Depository. We are proud to share that $600 was donated and we surpassed our goal by 50 percent.
